I built this uke for my kid using the same molds as the California Ukulele. It’s wildly resonant and sweet compared to my first effort and I’m stoked that his first handmade instrument is a good one.

Redwood top with Monterey cypress bracing, mahogany sides with a super subtle wood dust color burst, rosewood fingerboard with redwood burl dots, koa bridge, rosewood bindings, and an abalone and manzanita headstock logo. This project unfolded over some curious years covering COVID, 3 house moves, 4 jobs, and a whole lot of growing up.
